Chef Michael Kanter

Chef Michael Kanter brings his many years of professional culinary and restaurant experience to provide entertaining and educational cooking classes.  He built a solid culinary foundation working at the legendary Le Bec Fin for six years under Chef Georges Perrier; first as an unpaid apprentice and then earned the position of Sous Chef.

 

Chef Michael's resume also includes: The Philadelphia Four Seasons, Susanna Foo, Restaurant Daniel (NYC), The Blue Angel, Dilworthtown Inn, Alma de Cuba, and Morimoto.

Chef Michael's classes focus on his love for real ingredients, sourcing locally, and culinary traditions.

Allison Berneking M.S., PA-C,

    Nutrition Health Coach

Allison received her graduate degree as a Physician Assistant in 2011 and practiced in both inpatient and outpatient settings. During this time her journey towards holistic health in her own personal life led her to continue her studies through the Institute for Functional Medicine and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. It was during this time that Allison gained an in-depth understanding of food from a culinary and medicinal perspective as she experimented daily while cooking for a friend battling cancer and adhering to a strict and clean diet. 

 

Allison strongly believes that our relationship with food is central to our overall health and well-being, and that food is meant to be enjoyed in its purest form alongside those we love. As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Allison works with individual clients and in group settings to establish attainable goals as she supports each client in his/her journey toward optimal health and well-being.


As a mom of a young daughter, Allison also brings her passion for nourishing the whole family into her work.  Allison is excited to be partnering with Chef Michael to bridge culinary excellence with nutritional awareness and the love of real, whole foods.
